Looking After Your Paving
It is highly recommend that you along with your paving you also acquire Azpects Easy Seal as well. It is a sure-fire way to guarantee that your paving looks as close to the original colour for as long as possible. As stated above, over time, the original will start to wear and the Biff Blend will fade to lovely shades of light brown giving your paving a lovely autumnal look. This change is caused by the fact that the paving is naturally formed.
Jet washing the paving every 6 months is also strongly recommended. This will wash away any dirt and debris that may be collected onto the paving.
What is the Difference Between Limestone and Sandstone Paving?
There are a couple of similar qualities shared by Limestone and Sandstone paving. The most notable similarity being that they are both formed naturally in stone quarries in India.
Limestone Paving does require upkeeping and maintenance depending on the colour chosen. However, it is the slightly more cost-effective option.
It is vital to know that Limestone is the more brittle option of the two when compared to Sandstone, even though it is the more economical variety. However, they have the exact same durability once they have been laid.
Even if a Sealer has been used on your pavement, as time passes Limestone will wear over time. For that reason, some maintenance is required to keep the original colour of the paving as long lasting and as close to the original as possible. On the other hand, Sandstone Paving maintenance requires much less effort.
There are a range of options Sandstone and Limestone are available in. There are sawn options available for Sandstone and Limestone is available in a Square Edge option.
You must seal your Buff Blend Sandstone paving to ensure that the original colour is maintained. on the flip side, a Seal is not necessary for Sandstone Paving, only optional.
What is the Difference Between Limestone and Porcelain Paving?
There are some notable differences between Limestone and Porcelain Paving. The obvious difference between the two is in the way they are formed. Limestone as we have mentioned before, are naturally formed in stone quarries, whereas Porcelain Paving is manufactured which enables them to be available in a vast range of colours and finishes.
Limestone Paving is appropriate for those who want to go for a traditional and minimalist look, while those who enjoy a more modern and sophisticated look choose Porcelain Paving.
The surface texture and colouring of Limestone will whether naturally as time passes. Porcelain Paving, however, is able to withstand such factors and is able to upkeep its colours and finishes as its a manufactured material.
Limestone needs to be jet washed every 6 months to keep it in a clean condition. Such effort is not required for Porcelain Paving, as they only need a hose down every 6 months instead.
