Carbon Black Limestone Walling
The carbon Limestone Walling is a great option for your property, especially if you want your garden to exude a classic, antiquated look. Limestone Walling will be able to help you create a unique look that will look lovely no matter the season.
Carbon Limestone is a much-loved Natural Stone Paving choice, this love for a darker shade extends to the walling as well since Carbon Limestone Walling is one of our more popular choices when it comes to walling. The Carbon Limestone Walling predominantly consists of dark grey to ash shades that will allow you to create a truly chic and monochromatic look in your garden.
We make sure to be extra careful and proactive when it comes to where our Limestone and Sandstone Walling are sourced and to ensure that it is done ethically within our sources in India. Due to our direct contact with Indian suppliers, we are able to provide our customers with the most competitive prices.
As a result of these stones being quarried in India, they all have unique features and markings, the same as Sandstone does. This means that these stones are permeable and therefore able to absorb rainwater. This feature comes in handy when your front or back garden doesn't have good drainage systems so the walling pieces will help with stagnant and pooling water.
As we have mentioned before, we think Limestone is a popular option amongst our customers because of how aesthetically pleasing they are. The Carbon Limestone has a wide variety of nearly black to ashy-grey pieces that help create a contemporary and modern look. As the walling has been developed from natural stone, they have been trimmed down to the appropriate size from larger pieces that have been quarried in India. This leads to the colours being inconsistent but also ensures that your stone walling is one-of-a-kind and there's no other like it. This unique quality is one of the features that make Natural stone more appealing.
As stated earlier, the walling pieces have a pitch surface and need to be cut down to smaller, usable sizes before they can be used for walling. This also means that the walling segments will be streamlined and smooth. However, do take note of the fact the texture of the walling surface and its thickness can vary. Their natural makeup also leads to a grooved look.
Carbon Black Limestone Walling for Your Garden
If you are looking for a beautiful and durable exterior wall that will divide off your garden, our Carbon Limestone Walling is an effective choice. When installed safely and in a stable manner, the Carbon Limestone Walling is strong and durable and will therefore last long into the future, even under unpredictable weather conditions. As opposed to wooden fences, our composite fences do not show signs of wear and tear as easily as real wood fences do, and therefore do not need replacing as frequently.
The Carbon Limestone Walling is an excellent choice no matter how big or small you need the walling to be, it is versatile and therefore appropriate for both large and smaller walls so you can avoid worrying whether or not these wallings will be protective and effective for your garden. This also enables you to have a variety of design and style options for how you want your garden to look, a taller walling could be more encompassing and add more colour and design to your garden, whereas if you have a smaller garden or want to install walling in your front garden, anything too large will be overbearing.
Furthermore, another way you can use the Carbon Limestone Walling is as a low-height stone wall and to use it as a retaining plant bed for the borders within your garden. Designing your garden with elevated plants around borders adds more dimension and levels to your garden that not only make it easier to maintain but also provide protection from animals.
Finally, another way to utilise the Fernlea Walling is to install them around your front garden to warden off the area and add some more privacy. You can achieve this by installing a stone fence with a gate in it, this works well with properties that have a large front garden or driveway.

How to Build a Stone Wall
Once your Sandstone Walling has been purchased and delivered, we strongly recommend you have a thorough examination of each walling segment and then organise them based on their size and colour.
To get the most out of our stone wall, you have to start with a durable foundation for the base of the wall. It is the most common practice to ensure that the width of the foundation is x3 larger than the width of your wall. If your wall size is between 650mm and 1500mm in height then a concrete foundation will work perfectly to develop a sturdy foundation.
To ensure your walling is securely placed, we suggest digging down enough that the foundation is 300mm in depth. Digging so far down makes sure that you reach the firm soil rather than the topsoil, which is much softer. After you have completed this step, let your foundation cure for a good while before you start working on your wall on top of it.
Once the foundation has cured sufficiently, go ahead and create a mortar mix that you will need when laying stone walling, which you need to do the same as bricks are laid. For this mortar mix, use the ratio 1:5 or 1:6 of Cement: Building Sand. Combine these materials together and add water in increments until you get the right consistency.
Mark out the area you want to install the wall using a string and chalk. Once you know the placement, you can start placing the walling segments in their place.
Lay a bed of mortar along the chalk line on the foundation; enough to fit four or five walling pieces. Once you've laid your first walling piece, take your next piece and apply the mortar mix to the end, to create the joint between the first two pieces.
Implement a rubber mallet to tap the pieces down securely and ensure you're keeping an eye on the levelling with the spirit level. Repeat the process horizontally until you reach the end of the first walling layer, and if you're happy with it, continue upwards.
