Natural Stone Paving for Your Garden
As opposed to a sleek and smooth finish, these weathered stones are more rustic and textured. They are a widely used option for various garden projects, ranging from patios and front gardens to create a calm and atmospheric environment that is sure to impress your guests.
Why Choose Weathered Paving
Weathered Paving is the perfect choice for this who prefer a slightly worn look as opposed to something more organised and consistent.
If you are looking to create a soothing and modest look for your front or back garden Weathered Paving is the one for you, as it emits a much softer look to your home that's soothing to the eyes without being too loud.
The Aqua Limestone Paving, also known as Kota Blue Limestone emits an everlasting and classic look that will add a beautiful blue sheen to your garden or even pool-side. And because of the weathered effect they exude a look of paving that was lain a long time ago and has gone through the ages.
Please take note of the fact that choosing a weathered option is completely based on the personal preference of the buyer and the look they want to achieve for their home. It has no bearing on the material itself as weathered paving has the exact same integrity and durability as the non-weathered variety.

Looking After Your Paving
We emphatically advise that you also purchase Azpects Easy Seal along with your paving. We think this is the best way to ensure that your paving stays as fresh as possible for a longer period of time. As we have stated before, the colour of natural stones do fade as time goes by, and the Aqua Limestone will fade to a very calming and subdued shade of grey. The change in colour and fading occurs because they are naturally formed.
We also strongly advise, to keep your Paving as clean as possible, to jet wash it every 6 months to wash away any dirt and debris that may have collected.
What is the Difference Between Limestone and Sandstone Paving?
Limestone and Sandstone Paving share several similar qualities. The most obvious one being that they are both formed naturally in Indian stone quarries.
Slightly more cost effective, Limestone Paving does need to be maintained depending on which colour you choose.
It is also important to keep in mind that Limestone is slightly more brittle is comparison to Sandstone, even though it is the more cost effective of the two. But please know that once laid. both of these types of stone have the exact same durability.
Irrespective of whether or not you have used a Sealer, Limestone will fade naturally over time. Therefore, to give your paving the best chance to maintain its colour for as long as possible some maintenance is required. However, maintaining the colour in Sandstone Paving is much easier to handle.
Limestone and Sandstone Paving are available in various paving options here at Stone Zone. Square Edge for Limestone and Sawn options for Sandstone.
To make sure that the original colour of the Aqua Blue Limestone is maintained and remaining fresh, it must be sealed. On the other hand, it is only optional to seal Sandstone Paving.
What is the Difference Between Limestone and Porcelain Paving?
Limestone and Porcelain Paving do have several aspects that differ between them. The most noteworthy difference is the method in which they are formed. Limestone, as we have stated earlier, are formed naturally in stone quarries, while on the contrary, are man-made and manufactured, which allows them to be available in a wide range of colours and finishes.
If you are looking to have a more fuss-free and understate vibe to your garden you should go with a Limestone option, whereas if a garden that looks sleek and modern is more to your taste, you should definitely go with Porcelain Paving.
As time goes by Limestone will naturally weather which the colour and surface texture changing slightly. This however, does not happen Porcelain Paving which is able to maintain its colours and finishes because it was man-made.
Some effort is needed for Limestone as it requires a jet wash every 6 months. Porcelain Paving is much easier to maintain as it does not need a jet wash but a hose down twice a year instead to keep it looking clean and shiny.
