Our Jumbo Bag Away Service is usually cheaper than a skip, and recycles over 80% of waste collected. The capacity of our Jumbo Bags are approximately 1 metric tonne or 0.6m³ of a level load. What customers love about this service is that we are able to collect the filled jumbo bag even when you’re not present (as long as it has been left in a safe, accessible space). This saves you time, money and stress of lugging the waste into your garden and driving it up to the tip!

Jumbo Bag Away, Clay or Chalk Waste Collection

If the soil in your garden is clearly very contaminated with clay, then this is the Jumbo Bag Away waste option you would need to select. To identify whether your soil is a clay-based soil, look at the colour; it will be between a beige and orange colour, will be very dense and compact easily. 

The same goes for identifying whether your soil contains a lot of chalk; the colour of this soil will be more beige/cream and potentially have larger pieces of chalky stones within it. Both clay and chalky soil will look very different to the dark coloured Topsoil you're used to seeing. If you think your soil contains both chalk and clay, we can still collect this as well.

Green Waste Collection is a very popular waste category, especially for those that regularly carry out lots of grass cutting and bush pruning, as well as those that have gardens with lots of trees, and need the fallen leaves collected. As you could probably guess, this covers anything green so is great for Gardeners.

A similar waste collection service is our Inert Waste collection; this category includes Soil, Sand, Hardcore, Tarmac and Rubble. Landscapers find this waste collection particularly helpful when they are installing garden features such as sub-bases for garden patios and Artificial Grass.

Our Mixed Waste Collection is great for those of you that are having a good clear out of your house and have things such as old, wooden furniture, plastic household items and lots of cardboard packaging. This waste type will take away: wood, plastic, paper/card and metal.

Finally, we also provide a Plasterboard Waste Collection. We recommend this waste collection type for customers that are renovating a room in their house or knocking down a plasterboard wall. All of our jumbo bag away collections are disposed of as responsibly as possible, with this waste category being no exception.

How to use our Jumbo Bag Away

1. Purchase the necessary number of Jumbo Bags either online, in-store or over the phone. You can also re-use of our standard bulk bags (provided there are no tears).
2. Place the bag where our drivers will be able to access it with their hiab. It must be situated within four metres (13 feet) of a public road. Ensure that there are no potential obstructions nearby, such as overhead wires, parked vehicles, trees etc. The roadway must be a minimum of 3 metres (10 feet) wide to enable the collection lorry to gain access to the bag.
3. To use, simply fold down the four corners of the Jumbo Bag (this will give it a sturdier structure). You can then start to fill the bag with your waste.
4. Please note: The Jumbo Bag must not be used for the disposal of electrical items, toxic substances or sharp, hazardous materials. Under environmental laws these include fridges, freezers, tyres, car batteries, pesticides, asbestos, paint tins and gas bottles. If you are unsure about the legality of any of your waste material please call us for advice.
5. We strongly advise that you do not move the bags once you have begun filling them as you risk damaging the bag and injuring yourself. When your Jumbo Bag is ready for collection, select the relevant waste collection option on our website and indicate the quantity of bags. You can also call 01202 874207.
6. Request a collection date for your bag and we will contact you with the confirmed date. Otherwise we aim to collect the bag within 5 working days, you don't need to be present for this.

Our Jumbo Bag Away is a local service, however, if your postcode falls out of our local area, we can still process this with an out-of-area fee.
