Citron Yellow Square Edge Limestone (22mm Calibrated)
The Citron Square Edge Limestone paving slabs emanate a vivid and vibrant look when laid in your garden or driveway. When wet, the colours of the paving turn a few shades darker, which gives off a dark gold colour, which brightens up your home even on the gloomiest of days. If you are looking to create a patio or garden that will be eye-catching and bright no matter what the season, these 'Thai Yellow' paving stones are the perfect choice for you. The varying shades of yellow and gold will perpetually add a sense of brightness and glimmer to your home.
To ensure that we supply the best quality paving to our customers, all our 'Abbey' stone slabs are calibrated, which guarantees that the natural stones are durable, long-lasting and at an even consistency.
We want to certify that our customers are supplied with the best possible products at the best prices, and to ensure this we import all our slabs directly from our trusted suppliers in India.
Because these slabs are naturally derived from Indian stone quarries, they materialize in various different shades, in the case of the 'Tuscan' paving, they will usually come in shades of light to deep yellows and golds. Taking the nature of these stones into consideration, it is important to remember that this paving is more disposed to weather and changes in colour.

What is 'Square Edge Paving'?
As stated before, all our natural stone paving is derived and brought over from quarries in India. When they are derived, they develop as large pieces of rock, which then need to be cut down by hand to the required sizes. The cutting down process is slightly different when it comes to Square Edge paving. Instead of the paving slabs being hand-cut, giving them rougher, more rustic edges, the edges for the square edge paving are machine sawn. By sawing them down to size with a machine, the edges are cleaner and smoother and much more consistent across the entire batch. Square Edge paving is a great choice for you if you want to create a more organised and symmetrical look for your garden.
Here at Stone Zone, we have a number of Natural Stone paving slabs that come in Square Edges, these are Dove Grey Square Edge Limestone, Carbon Black Square Edge Limestone, Aqua Blue Square Edge Limestone, Citron Yellow Square Edge Limestone.
What is the Difference Between Limestone and Sandstone Paving?
The most commonly known similarity between Limestone and Sandstone paving is the fact that they are both naturally derived from Indian quarries. However, there are a few more similarities as well.
A perk of choosing Limestone Paving over Sandstone is that it is the more economical option. But please remember that based on what colour paving you choose to go with, there may be some maintenance required.
Because it is the more cost-effective choice, Limestone is slightly more brittle when compared to Sandstone paving. However, that distinction is inconsequential as they have the same strength and durability once laid.
As we have mentioned earlier, Limestone Paving will discolour over time, even if a Sealer has been used. To prolong the vividness for as long as possible, some maintenance will be required on your end, and in doing so, you can hopefully, retain as much of the original colour as possible. But on the opposite end, maintaining the original colour on Sandstone Paving is easier.
There are various options available for Sandstone and Limestone. Sandstone is available in weathered and sawn options; or if you have chosen to go with Limestone, you can get them in the square edge or weathered variety.
To make sure that your Citron Paving maintains and preserves its original colour and sheen for as long as possible, sealing is required. These extra steps are not needed for Sandstone Paving, just optional.
What is the Difference Between Limestone and Porcelain Paving?
There are a few differences between Limestone and Porcelain Paving that you should keep in mind. The most obvious difference between the two is how they are made; Limestone is derived naturally whereas Porcelain Paving is manufactured. Being manufactured allows Porcelain paving slabs to be available in various colours and finishes.
if your style is more modern and sleek then Porcelain paving is the ideal choice for you, however, if you are more a fan of a more textured and characteristic look that's a little more subtle then Limestone Paving is the one you should choose.
As you may know, over time Limestone does weather, with the colours and surface structure wearing slightly. On the other hand, no such thing occurs on Porcelain paving as they are much better at maintaining their colours and textures due to the nature of their development.
Lastly, Limestone Paving requires upkeeping to preserve its freshness. You will need to jet wash it twice a year to make sure it stays looking new. While Porcelain Paving is much easier to handle as it only needs a simple hose down twice a year.
If you are searching for a Porcelain alternative to the Citron Yellow Square Edge Limestone Paving, then you may want to consider the 'Natural' Yellow Limestone Porcelain Paving. The 'Natural' range has been cleverly designed to emulate the look of Natural Sandstone and Limestone while possessing all the best features of modern Porcelain Paving.
