Nonetheless, we strongly suggest you also used Azpects Easy Seal Slate and Limestone to ensure that the colour stays as bright and vivid as long as possible.
Lastly, we also suggest that your Limestone paving be jet washed every 6 months to wash away any dirt and debris that may have accumulated.
What is the Difference Between Limestone and Sandstone Paving?
Limestone and Sandstone Paving are similar is several aspects, the main one being that they are both derived from stone quarries in India.
If you are looking for a most cost-effective option, Limestone Paving may be the better choice, but because of this, they do require a little but more maintenance depending on the colour.
Another factor to keep in mind is that because Limestone is the cheaper option, they are slightly more brittle when compared to Sandstone. But do not let that sway you, once laid, both Sandstone and Limestone have the same, high durability.
Another thing to keep in mind is that Limestone will over time, face naturally irrespective of whether a Sealer was used or not. Therefore, to keep the fading at bay as long as possible to help maintain its original colour as long as possible, some maintenance is required. On the contrary, colour maintenance for Sandstone Paving is slightly easier.
We provide many different varieties for both Limestone and Sandstone Paving. Limestone Paving is available in Square and Weathered; Sandstone is also available as Weathered along with sawn options.
To help retain the colour in Citron Limestone Paving, we strong suggest sealing them. Whereas, if that is not something you want to do, it is only optional for Sandstone Paving.
What is the Difference Between Limestone and Porcelain Paving?
There are a few notable differences between Limestone and Porcelain Paving. Their biggest difference is the way in which they are created. Limestone Paving as we stated before, are formed in stone quarries, whereas Porcelain Paving are manufactured, which enables them to be available in various different colours and finishes.
If you are looking to create more traditional, understated atmosphere for your home, Limestone may be the one for you. However, if modern and colourful is more to your liking, we'd suggest you go with the Porcelain Paving.
As we explained earlier, over time Limestone will weather, with its colour and surface texture changing. This however, does not happen with Porcelain Paving, and this is again, due to how they're made. But it is important to note that because Porcelain is manmade, it retains and maintains its colours and finished well over time.
It is vital to note that Limestone Paving does require more maintenance. It is strongly advised that every 6 months you jet wash your Limestone Paving to clean off any accumulated dirt and debris. On another note, Porcelain Paving is much easier to maintain as you only have to hose it down every 6 months instead, to keep it nice and clean.
