Installation Tips

Your Flexible CORE Edging can be installed in your garden during your garden renovation, as well as after you have just transformed it. This is a big plus as you won't need to lift or re-install any of your garden features or borders.

Our pack of 5 CORE Edging pieces will give you five linear metres of edging, the connecting overlap is 75mm per edge, so with a pack of 5 you will lose 375mm of length in total. The easy-to-install expanding clip and galvanised rebar means you can reinforce the ground spike by an additional 300mm.

Once connected, pre-joined edges can be installed as one continuous length. Making it far easier to create larger curves or complex shapes. These provide a rigid connection between adjoining edges, helping to provide an almost seamless connection with double locking tabs.

Applications of CORE Edging

CORE Edging offers lots of flexibility when it comes to its many different uses. These uses vary from applications such as pathways running along your front or back garden, neatly dividing two different garden features from each other, or simply creating a neat and tidy border around various different landscaped features.

If you have ground-level plant or vegetable beds in your garden, CORE Edging is a great way to create a divide line between the beds and the rest of your garden. With the high quality materials of this edging, you can rest assured it won't have any negative affects on your Topsoil. You could even top this off with Woodland Mulch is you just wanted to create a low maintenance, natural garden border.

Perhaps you have a beautiful garden patio which consists of either Porcelain Paving or Sandstone Paving. If this paving is set against another garden feature, such as grass, it's nice to separate the two, to create a contrast between the two. CORE Steel Edging is perfect for this, especially as it comes in 3 different height sizes.

Lastly, a really popular use for CORE Garden Edging is use around Grass Turf lawns or Artificial Grass areas. The edges of grass don't look particularly neat and tidy, so by adding this Steel Edging, you are giving the edges a much cleaner look, that will nicely contrast it from other areas in the garden. Also, with the flexibility of these edging pieces, it also makes it perfect for tree rings, especially if you are looking to fill this with something decorative such as Garden Stones.

BRIGHT ZINC GALVANISED 

Our unpainted galvanised finish is the most cost effective edging option!

The raw steel has a 20 micron galvanised zinc coating to increase the edgings life-span.

The galvanised coating will prevent the steel from rusting when exposed to the elements.

POWDER COATED 

Our galvanised steel edgings are finished with a 110 micron polyester powder coating that is designed for external use.

The coating is applied electrostatically and is then cured under extreme heat to allow it to flow and form a “skin”. This skin creates a hard wearing flexible finish that is tougher than conventional paint.

COR-TEN

Our high grade weathering steel has a unique look and naturally oxidizing finish. Weathering steels are a group of steel alloys which were developed to remove the need for painting which form a stable rust-like appearance when exposed to the elements.
