Patterned Porcelain for Your Garden
Crafted for outstanding strength and lasting performance, our porcelain paving tiles are fired at extremely high temperatures to ensure maximum durability and resilience. Each tile is then rectified for precise, smooth edges—creating a sleek, contemporary finish and making installation easier by allowing for accurate primer and grout calculations.
Our Patterned Porcelain Paving range draws inspiration from classic Mediterranean mosaics and traditional Victorian geometry. The designs evoke the charm of luxury villas and the elegance of black-and-white era tiling—updated with modern style and precision.
Each colour in the collection features its own distinctive geometric motif, ideal for homeowners seeking something unique. Whether used across an entire patio or as a striking accent within a larger paved area, these patterned tiles bring timeless design and modern durability together in perfect harmony.

Beyond practicality, a porcelain patio adds depth and character to your garden. It pairs beautifully with Turf Grass, Artificial Grass, or Decorative Borders like Cobble Setts and Decorative Stones for a polished, cohesive look.

How to Install Patterned Porcelain Tiles
Thinking of installing your own Porcelain Patio? Our landscaping experts at The Stone Zone have put together this easy step-by-step guide to help you achieve professional results.
Step 1: Measure Your Area
Accurate measurements are key. Measure the full width and length of your space, including any patterns, borders, or curves.
👉 Multiply width × length to get your total m², and always order 5% extra to cover cuts and wastage.
Choose your Porcelain Paving based on size, colour, and finish—then simply order by square metre or by tile on our website.
Step 2: Prepare the Ground
Mark out your patio area with stakes and string or spray paint. Excavate the ground to a depth of 150–200mm (6–8 inches), allowing space for the sub-base, mortar, and tiles.
Maintain a 1:60 slope for proper water drainage away from your home.
Step 3: Lay the Sub-Base
Add a 100–150mm (4–6 inch) layer of MOT Type 1 Limestone or hardcore, then compact it firmly using a wacker plate.
This creates a strong, stable foundation that prevents movement or sinking over time.
Step 4: Add the Bedding Layer
Mix sharp sand and cement in a 4:1 ratio to form your mortar.
Spread a 30mm (1–1.5 inch) layer evenly across the sub-base, keeping the slope consistent for drainage.
Step 5: Prime the Tiles
Apply a slurry primer (such as Azpects EASYPrime or Ultrascape Slurry Primer) to the back of each porcelain tile.
This ensures maximum adhesion between the tiles and the mortar bed.
Step 6: Lay the Porcelain Tiles
Start from a fixed point and gently press each tile into place.
Use Azpects spacers for consistent 3–5mm joints, and check levels regularly with a spirit level.
Tap lightly with a rubber mallet for a smooth, even finish.
Once set (after around 24 hours), fill joints with a quality compound such as EASYJoint, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
Finishing Touches
Brush off any residue and rinse the surface with water.
Allow 24–48 hours before using your new patio or placing furniture.
Maintenance Tips
Sweep regularly to keep debris at bay.
Rinse occasionally with a hose or gentle pressure washer.
Avoid harsh chemicals—mild detergents work best.
