UltraScape Flowpoint Smooth Paving Grout is specially formulated for smooth paving slabs and stones, delivering a flawless, professional jointing finish. Thanks to its highly fluid consistency, this paving grout allows for early trafficking while fully complying with BS 7533 standards. It is the ideal jointing solution for any paved surface that requires strong, rigid, and void-free joints, making it perfect for pedestrian zones, town centre paving schemes, pathways, and carriageways. This versatile grout is suitable for use with natural stone paving, concrete flagstones, and clay block pavers.

Supplied as a fully pre-mixed dry-pack, Flowpoint Smooth Paving Grout only requires the addition of water on-site for easy application. It can be used for joint widths from 4mm up to 50mm, with a target depth of at least 20mm and up to 200mm in a single pour. With outstanding performance, this paving jointing compound achieves a compressive strength of 49.6 N/mm² (using 4.25 litres of water per 25kg bag). It has an initial set time of just 20 minutes, supports light foot traffic in as little as 1 hour, and is ready for vehicle use after approximately 4 hours, depending on weather conditions.

For best results, ensure all paving joints are free from debris and remove any standing water before application. Thoroughly pre-soak the paving surface and joints, keeping them damp throughout the grouting process. Mix one 25kg bag with 4.25 litres of water for 3–5 minutes until a smooth, lump-free jointing grout is formed, ready for easy and efficient installation.

Apply the paving grout immediately after mixing, as liquid mortar should not be stored, except during transfer from the mixer. Using a high-quality rubber squeegee, work the jointing mortar into the paving joints, ensuring they are completely filled. Continuously move the mortar across the paved surface to refill any joints that may have slumped after the first application. Remove any excess grout with the squeegee, keeping the surface damp with a fine water spray throughout the process. Once the jointing compound has begun to harden or reached its initial set, clean the paving thoroughly with plenty of water and a stiff brush to prevent residue from remaining on the surface.

Important Application Notes:

• Always complete a small test area first to ensure the paving grout is compatible with your chosen stone, slab, or paving material.

• Clean tools regularly during use and only prepare enough mortar that can be applied within 4 minutes.

• Never remix or add more water once the grout has been mixed.

• Always wear appropriate protective clothing, gloves, and eye protection, as wet cement-based mortar can cause burns.

• Be aware that lower temperatures will slow the curing process, while warmer conditions will speed it up.

When working with paving grout or jointing mortar, always wear appropriate PPE, including gloves, protective clothing, and eye protection, during preparation, mixing, and application. Wash hands thoroughly before eating, drinking, or smoking, and ensure all materials are kept out of reach of children and pets. Dispose of empty packaging and any waste materials responsibly, following your local authority’s environmental guidelines.

Storage Instructions

For best performance, store jointing mortar and paving grout in their original sealed packaging at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C, away from frost and damp conditions. Keep unopened bags in a cool, dry location, raised off the ground and protected from strong drafts. When stored correctly and used within 8 months of the date printed on the bag, the reducing agent will remain active. This ensures that once mixed with water, the grout contains no more than 0.0002% (2 ppm) of soluble Chromium (VI) relative to the total dry weight of the cement, maintaining safe use and consistent performance.
