Versatile and durable, it’s suitable for natural stone, concrete, clay pavers, and more, making it ideal for both domestic patios and heavy-duty commercial schemes. Resistant to weed growth and fully compliant with BS 7533, it guarantees long-lasting performance.

Supplied as a pre-mixed dry pack, it requires only water on-site. The slurry application method is quick, efficient, and effective for joints 20–200mm deep.

How to Apply UltraScape Flowpoint Premium

UltraScape Flowpoint Premium is a rapid-set slurry jointing mortar with a high-fluid consistency, designed for fast application and early use. Conforming to the strict requirements of BS 7533, it delivers strong, void-free joints that are both rigid and durable. Perfect for town centre pedestrian areas, pathways, and carriageways, it can be used with natural stone, concrete flags, and clay pavers.

UltraScape Flowpoint Premium is a pre-mixed dry-pack requiring only water on-site, making it quick and easy to use. It fills joints from 5–50mm wide with a minimum depth of 20mm (up to 200mm in one application). This highly fluid slurry mortar delivers a final compressive strength of 49.6N/mm², with an initial set in just 30 minutes, open to foot traffic in 1 hour and vehicular traffic in 4 hours (temperature dependent).

Application Method:

Before grouting, ensure all joints are clean, free of debris, and clear of ponded water. Thoroughly pre-soak the paving surface and joints, keeping them wet throughout the jointing process.

Mix each 25kg bag with 4.25 litres of water for 3–5 minutes until a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved. Apply the mortar immediately—do not store once mixed except during transit from the mixer.

Using a neoprene squeegee, work the mortar into the joints, ensuring they are completely filled. Continuously move the mortar across the surface to top up any joints that slump after initial placement, removing excess mortar as you go. Keep the surface moist with a fine water spray during application.

Once the mortar has set sufficiently, clean the paving thoroughly with a brush and plenty of water, ensuring no mortar residue remains on the surface.

Always carry out a small trial to confirm compatibility with your chosen stone, as Instarmac cannot test every type. Wash tools regularly and only mix enough material that can be applied within 4 minutes. Do not remix or add extra water once mixed.

Wear suitable protective clothing and avoid skin or eye contact—wet cement can cause burns. Please note: cool temperatures will slow the setting process, while warm conditions will accelerate it.
