Portree Resin Kit

Our Portree resin kit consists of four bags of aggregates which mix together in equal parts to make a truly unique option for any path or driveway.

To complete your installation, you’ll also need to purchase Binding Quartz and Resin Binder separately—both available online and in-store.

For accurate quantities, we recommend consulting your landscaper or professional installer.

The Portree Resin Kit is a 2:1:1 mix of 2-5mm Irish Bronze, 1-3mm Athena Quartz and 2-5mm Athena Quartz.

Approximately 3 square metres with a depth of both 15mm and 18mm, which is the respective depth required for pathways and walkways and for traffic areas such as car parks and driveways.

The mixture is combined in a forced-action mixer and then carefully hand-trowelled to form a smooth, seamless, and fully permeable finish.

We offer two types of Resin Binders: a moisture-resistant option and a UV-stable version, the latter of which comes with a guarantee of up to 25 years when installed by a VUBA-approved installer. The best choice for your project will depend on the local climate conditions. In the UK, where humidity levels are generally low, we recommend using the VUBA UV-stable binder for optimal performance and longevity.

To install Resin Bound Aggregates, you’ll need to purchase Binding Quartz alongside one of our kits. This translucent additive blends seamlessly into the mix, helping to create a smooth, glossy, and visually appealing finish. It also prevents the ‘sandy’ or ‘grainy’ texture that can occasionally occur with resin bound surfaces.
