How to Install Stone Cladding

While we typically advise hiring professionals for landscaping or cladding projects, installing Ledger Stone Panel pieces is feasible for experienced DIYers due to their lightweight nature.

Begin by measuring the area you intend to clad and purchase the required amount either online, over the phone, or in-store, with the option to return any unused pieces within 28 days of purchase.

Prepare the wall by sanding it down to remove any loose debris, ensuring a smooth surface for installation. Lay out the cladding pieces to plan the desired arrangement, as the variation in tile pieces contributes to a natural look.

Trim any overhanging parts of the tiles using a quality tile cutter, keeping in mind that these excess pieces are non-refundable.

Apply tile adhesive to the wall using a trowel, aiming for a 45-degree angle to ensure even coverage. The staggered design of the cladding tiles creates natural-looking joints.

Start laying the tiles from one corner, following the predetermined layout. The tiles are designed to be butt-jointed, eliminating the need for adhesive or grout between the joints.

Press each cladding piece firmly onto the wall, ensuring secure bonding. Allow the wall to set for several hours before checking the progress and ensuring it remains dry for 24 hours to complete the drying process.
