Stone Zone's Sponsorships and Charity Donations

At Stone Zone & Landscaping Supplies, we are proud to have worked with many charities and schools, as well as sponsoring local sports clubs and young people taking part in local competitions.

Charity Golf Day Sponsorships

For the second year running, we have agreed to sponsor the 19th hole for a Charity Golf Day which is being held at Remedy Oak Golf Club. We will be offering people a free drink which is in aid of raising money for the Steve Bernard Foundation, a great cause set up in memory of 'Stevie B' who had a tragic car accident in 2005. This charity helps raise money for sporting projects based across Bournemouth, Dorset and the South Coast.

This Charity Golf Day will be held at Remedy Oaks Golf Club on Tuesday 4 July 2023.

In 2022, it was the first time we had sponsored the 19th hole for the aforementioned Golf Charity Day held at Remedy Oak Golf Club. This was the first year we offered a free drink to everyone that had donated, as well as a goodie bag with branded, handy tools. This year, it was in aid of the charity called Tyler’s Friends; a charity set up to support bereaved parents, enabling them to have the funeral and memorial they wished to have for their child or baby.

This Charity Golf Day was a huge success, raising over £10,000, and was held on Tuesday 28 June 2022 at Remedy Oak, Dorset.

Scalpings Donation

In May 2022, Cannon Hill Friends reached out to us as they needed some Scalpings for a project they were organising, which would make the Cannon Hill bridleway more accessible for those with mobility issues. Cannon Hill Friends are an Environmental Conservation Organization based locally in Wimborne and were really pleased to receive this donation.

Wimborne Football Club

Supporting local teams is really important to us. For a number of years, we sponsored Southern and Western league matches for Wimborne Town Football Club, as well as paying for advertising boards, which went into the club and helped them to fund a number of things they needed to maintain their football pitch.

School Donations

In the Spring of 2022, we ran a competition through Facebook where people could nominate their local school for a donation of our high quality Wessex BS3882 Soil. Three local schools were chosen and very pleased with the donations.

Queen's Park Infant Academy was one of the most nominated schools for the soil donation; they really wanted a high quality soil that they could use in their school's allotment. The above photo sums up how pleased the children were to have more soil to use for their fruit, veg and plants!

Little Fountain Pre-School had just opened their outdoor area which was created for growing things such as fruits, vegetables and a variety of other plants. As they were starting with a completely blank canvas, they were over the moon to have this soil donated to them to start them off in their growing journey!

Lastly, Chewton Common Playgroup received a Soil donation as well, and used this for their existing raised beds. Their plant beds were in desperate need of some fresh Soil, so the children (as you can see) couldn't wait to get stuck in and start using our top quality soil.

Back in 2019, we donated a generous 6 bulk bags of BS3882 Soil to West Moors School who were looking to convert part of the School to make a Resourced Provision for up to 10 children with Complex Communications Needs or Autism, offering children a chance to participate in Eco Club which is an after school club on a Wednesday that shows children how to grow fruit, vegetables and different plants.

Wimborne First School also reached out to us in 2019 about a fun Summer project they had set for the children. They wanted to create a 'magical' pathway that consisted of set Cobbles that had each been painted by a different child in the school. We thought this sounded like a great idea, and donated a bulk bag of our 80-120mm Cobbles so all the children could pick a cobble to paint in the Summer.

In 2019 we donated Weed Membrane and Gravel to Hampreston First School for their greenhouse, we also supplied them with discounted Cobbles for their pathway.

Lastly, we proudly made some donations to Queen Elizabeth's School in aid of their 'Rock challenge' which was a dance show held at the Pavillion in 2018. Twenty six hard hats and head torches were donated to the school for free, as well as a wheelbarrow as part of one of their props. We also contributed to part of the costumes.

Christchurch Rugby Club

Throughout a season in 2021, we sponsored Christchurch Rugby Club. It was mainly kit sponsorship that we offered, covering some of the cost of their football kits for the season. We also promoted this team through our social media channels to gain lots of exposure and support.

Soil Donation

Livability Holton Lee work with alongside a group called Flourish; a wellbeing programme where people learn new skills, build their confidence, become more physically active and enjoy new friendships. Their community supports over 60 individuals each week, some of whom are living with mental health issues, disabilities and others who want to improve their wellbeing. Their inspiring scheme runs a 2 acre market garden that promotes biodiversity, growing fruit and vegetables for the wider community.

When they reached out to us asking for a donation of soil, we were more than happy to help out. In the Spring of 2020, we donated and delivered five bulk bags of our high quality, soil-improving Compost. Flourish were over the moon with the donation, and quickly got through this Compost!

Donated Muckaway

The award-winning Grove Hotel is one of the UK’s only dedicated hotels for cancer patients and those suffering from life-threatening illnesses. Owned and operated by Macmillan Caring Locally based in Christchurch, this non-profit organisation is another way of extending their support and offering a welcome retreat for those who need and deserve it.

In Autumn 2019, we offered to arrange a free muckaway for their green waste as they had a lot in their gardens that needed taking away. This green waste was then taken to a local plant to be recycled and made into compost.

We have also worked with other various individuals such as Neil Middleditch and his management of Poole Pirates. We sponsored Various Youth Riders such as Scarlett Miller,  Luca Mansi and British Champion Billy Brown for their BMXing. We also sponsored Mark Edwards and his race equipment for his F1 Kart Racing.
