Regular cleaning is key to keeping your resin-bound surface looking its best and ensuring long-term durability—especially for lighter colours, where dirt and debris are more noticeable. Power washing is effective, but always keep the lance at a 90° angle and maintain a distance of at least 300mm to avoid dislodging the aggregate. Oil, Dirt & General Debris Weeds, Moss & Lichen Leaves, Berries & Organic Matter 1.5 litres sodium hypochlorite (NaClO) 4.5 litres water 100ml gentle, non-oxidising shampoo (e.g., baby shampoo) Apply with a pump sprayer, scrub with a stiff brush, and rinse thoroughly with clean water—ensuring runoff doesn’t affect nearby plants or lawns. Rust Stains & Tyre Marks Blending sleek aesthetics, robust durability, and everyday practicality, resin-bound driveways are fast becoming the preferred alternative to traditional materials like Sandstone, Limestone, Porcelain, and Composite decking. Here’s why they stand out: Eco-Friendly & Fully Permeable Resin-bound surfaces are SuDS-compliant, allowing water to drain naturally through the surface. This sustainable design helps reduce runoff, prevent flooding, and support groundwater replenishment—combining environmental responsibility with high performance. Built to Last Engineered for strength, resin-bound driveways handle heavy traffic with ease. They resist cracking, frost damage, weed growth, and algae—providing reliable, long-term performance in all weather conditions. Low Maintenance, High Impact With a smooth, sealed finish, maintenance is simple—just occasional sweeping and the occasional power wash. No sealing, special treatments, or intensive upkeep required. Safe and Slip-Resistant Naturally slip-resistant—even in wet or icy conditions—resin-bound driveways enhance safety for vehicles and pedestrians alike, making them ideal for family homes. Tailored Curb Appeal Available in a wide range of colours, aggregate sizes, and finishes, resin-bound paving offers complete design flexibility. Whether your style leans modern or traditional, you can create a seamless, elegant look that complements your property. Weed-Resistant, Seamless Finish The continuous, joint-free surface not only looks polished but also prevents weed growth and cracking—keeping your driveway neat and pristine over time. UV-Stable & Fade-Resistant Formulated with UV-stable resin, these surfaces retain their colour and finish even under prolonged sun exposure—ensuring your driveway stays vibrant for years. Quick Installation, Lasting Results Most resin-bound driveways can be installed and ready for use within 24–48 hours, offering a fast, hassle-free transformation with lasting benefits. Long-Term Value While the upfront cost may be higher than some traditional options, the durability, low maintenance, and visual appeal of resin-bound paving make it a wise long-term investment. Maintaining VUBA Resin Surfaces
Fuel and lubricant spills can quickly penetrate the surface. Act fast: blot with an absorbent cloth to reduce staining. For tougher marks, use an emulsifying degreaser. Avoid prolonged exposure to strong solvents, and contact VUBA for help with persistent stains.
A permeable membrane beneath the surface limits weed growth from below, but surface-level growth may still occur. Use a pressure washer to remove weeds. In damp or shaded areas, moss, lichen, or algae may develop—treat with a suitable cleaner, following the manufacturer's instructions.
Organic debris like fallen leaves or fruit can stain the surface if not removed promptly. To treat existing stains, use the following cleaning mix:
Rust can occur from items like BBQs or garden furniture, or occasionally from natural pyrite in the aggregate. Use a non-acidic rust remover, following product guidelines. Tyre marks are typically removable with steam cleaning or by scrubbing with hot water and mild detergent. Why Choose Resin Bound Aggregates For Your Driveway?
