Installation Options
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
If there’s no existing tarmac or asphalt, excavate the area to a minimum depth of 100mm. Lay a 30mm layer of MOT Type 1 Limestone to form a stable, reliable sub-base.
Spread the hardcore aggregate evenly across the excavated area and compact thoroughly using a Wacker Plate or similar compactor until the base is firm and level.
For driveways, lay the first sheet of Structural Reinforcement Mesh (SRM), trimming to fit as required. SRM is available in various sizes to suit your project.
Mix and lay the VubaMac base using a heavy-duty roller (available via the VUBA website). Follow the full VubaMac installation guide for detailed instructions.
Lay a second sheet of SRM over the fresh VubaMac base. Allow approximately 1 hour for curing so the SRM chemically bonds to the base, providing exceptional strength for pedestrian and vehicle use.
Once the base has cured, prepare your chosen VUBA Resin Kit. Combine the Resin Binder, Aggregates, and Binding Quartz in a heavy-duty mixer, then transfer the mixture into a lined wheelbarrow for application.
Spread the resin mix in small, manageable sections using a trowel and firm, even pressure. Continue smoothing until the area is fully covered, creating a seamless, durable, and visually striking finish.
