Dorchester Customer Advisor
Dorset Soils & Aggregates, also known as Stone Zone & Landscaping Centre are a family-run business established in 1998 that offer garden and landscaping supplies to both Landscapers and the general DIYer.
Due to rapid expansion and now opening our Dorchester branch on a Sunday through the Spring/Summer months, we require a part time Customer Advisor to work independently on the weekend.
Ideal Candidate
Are you interested in weekend work in the Dorchester area?
Perfect for a student or anyone that would like to work around 15 hours a week in a customer-facing setting.
As an individual, you must be confident to work alone and have great verbal communication skills when talking to customers.
Full training will be provided by our Dorchester Depot Manager. Some gardening/landscaping experience is preferred but not essential.
If you're also looking to increase your hours some weeks, there may be opportunities to cover work in our other depots in Bournemouth and Ferndown.
Main Responsibilities
- Serving Trade and General Public customers that visit the depot
- Using a till to process transactions
- Answering general questions that customers may have about gardening or landscaping
- Promoting our product benefits to customers
- Answering the phone
- Forklift driving and heavy lifting may be necessary
Working Hours
2 - 4 Saturdays per month will be required where necessary; working 9am - 4pm
Every Sunday is required to work 10am - 4pm (during March - September)
