5 Reasons Why You Should Get a Firepit

5 Reasons Why You Should Get a Firepit

If you want to make your garden that extra bit special, and want something that will encourage you to spend more time there, we think a Firepit is exactly what you need. At Stone Zone, we stock a wide range of Firepits that will cater to all households; they are varied in size, shape and price range and will be a great feature in your garden. If you are still undecided about whether or not a Firepit is the right one for you, we have collated a list of 5 reasons why Firepits are a great option for any garden.

Light Source

Firepits are a unique and innovative way to add some illumination to your garden. Rather than adding electrical lights around your garden, you might want to consider using one or several firepits to add lighting to our garden. All you need is your firepit and some logs and you are good to go! Your garden will be transformed into an outdoor experience with mood lighting that will add a whole new depth to your outdoor space.

As for design ideas, there are 2 ways you can go about it; you can either choose one large firepit and place it central to the garden so the light spreads everywhere, or you can purchase several small ones to dot them around your garden to create a light feature.

Seasonal

In our opinion, one of the best aspects of a firepit is the fact that you can use them all year round. They are perfect during the summer for grilling or if you want to camp out in your garden after the sunsets; on the other hand, they are great to use in the winter if you want to create a cosy gathering spot in your garden where the fire will keep you warm and also enable you to make s’mores! The fact that these firepits are so versatile ensures that they can be used whether it’s cold or hot outside and are therefore a great investment since they won’t be sitting in your shed for half the year.

Cosy Gathering Spot

As mentioned above, a firepit will let you create a warm, cosy sitting area in your garden that you can use all year long. A great design idea would be to place your firepit in a spacious area and then have seating areas around them to create a little outdoor living area. Furthermore, if you are a fan of al-fresco dining, you can add a little warmth and cosiness to your outdoor dining area if you surround them with some small firepits, maybe on the 4 corners. Or if you have the means, you can design a dining table around a firepit as a centrepiece.

BBQ Alternative

Nothing screams ‘summer’ louder than a BBQ and decked-out garden parties with burgers and steaks. However, there is nothing stopping it from doing the same in the Autumn and Winter season. Our firepits are a great alternative to BBQs that will be ideal when the weather is chillier. Especially our Tripod with a Hanging Grill, it’ll be a breeze to grill a whole host of foods that you can take advantage of any time it’s not raining. So not only do our firepits keep you warm they are useful and great at cooking food! However, if you do not have a large garden and the Tripod is a little too large, there’s no reason why you can’t use til foil and a grill rack to cook food on our other firepits.

Versatile

As we mentioned at the start of our list, you will be hard-pressed to find a garden feature that comes in such a varied range. We know that not all of us have access to large gardens or have the means to purchase the top-of-the-range features, that’s why Firepits are an affordable and accessible way to decorate your garden without crowding your outdoor space or putting a massive dent in your pocket. They are also varied in design and colour, therefore will be a great fit no matter what your colour scheme is, they will fit in seamlessly.
