With 20 years of employment under his belt, this makes him one of the longest standing employees! Darren first started in the company as a tipper driver, he then went on to pass his class 2 LGV license to drive our grab lorries for 19 years, delivering our products to customers.
For nearly 2 years now he has been managing our recycling yard and bagging plant, operating excavators, screening soil and crushing concrete. This huge role has meant passing an exam for the EPOC (Environmental Permitting Operators’ Certificate). As Darren has been here pretty much since the start, he has seen lots of new faces join as the company has rapidly expanded!

What’s your favourite part of the job?

Crushing concrete and turning waste into something useful.

What’s your favourite product we sell?

It has to be the soil, as we produce it ourselves!

What’s your favourite colour?

Blue.

What would your dream garden look like?

One with a swimming pool in it

If you could have any super power what would it be?

I would love to fly!
