VubaMac is a flexible, ultra-durable, and eco-friendly base specifically engineered for resin bound surfacing. Unlike traditional sub-bases not designed for this purpose, VubaMac forms a monolithic bond with the resin bound top layer when applied within the recommended intercoat period—creating the first truly integrated resin bound system.

For optimal performance, the full VubaMac system (including the resin bound surface course) should be installed at:

• 36mm for pedestrian traffic
• 50mm for vehicular traffic

How to Buy VubaMac Base Aggregates

1 VubaMac Kit - Single Item

1 VubaMac Kit includes:

• 2 Layers of 1mm Structural Reinforcement Mesh (SRM)
• 1 x 4.5kg VubaMac Resin Binder
• 1 x 12.5kg MacMix
• 4 x 25kg Aggregates (6-10mm)

Visit our Depots in Ferndown, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Dorchester to purchase the Aggregates bads. Any colours/stones we do not have can be ordered in.

Coverage:

For the 30mm required for vehicular traffic, the coverage in 2.6sqm.

How VubaMac Base Aggregates is Installed In Your Garden

Step 1: In the desired area, you need to add the base layer of the VubaMac Structural Reinforcement mesh. The mesh is available in 130sqm rolls that you can purchase from Stone Zone. Make sure to check the square meterage of the area you want covered before purchasing the mesh.

Step 2: Is to lay down a layer of Urethane Binder Course. The Urethane Binder Course consists of High Strength Railway Ballast, UV Polyurethane Resin, and finally Binding Quartz. The depth of this layer is dependent on the use of the surface, you must install 15mm for a pedestrian area, 30mm for vehicles or 35mm for commercial areas.

Step 3: After the Binder Course layer, a second mesh layer is added for extra durability and to ensure everything is packed in.

Step 4: Finally, you can add in your Resin Bound layer. Here at Stone Zone, we are proud stockists of a multitude of Resin colours, which you can find HERE; perfect for whatever colour pallet you want your walk or driveway to be.

What is VubaMac Base Aggregate?

VubaMac Base Aggregate a High-Strength Railway Ballast – a specially selected, recycled aggregate designed for maximum durability and performance. This hard-wearing material forms a robust structural base for your PU Binder Course, ensuring strength and stability in every layer.

The VubaMac system features 100% recycled Railway Ballast, responsibly sourced from Network Rail’s track renewal projects. This premium aggregate is carefully screened for quality and consistency, making it ideal for use in the Urethane Binder Course layer of the VubaMac system.

What is the Structural Reinforcement Mesh (SRM)?

The SRM (Structural Reinforcement Mesh) is an integral component of the VubaMac Urethane Binder Course, providing enhanced strength and structural support. It reinforces the base layer, increasing load resistance and overall durability—crucial for long-lasting performance in both pedestrian and vehicular applications.
