40mm Scalpings are one of our best-selling products, as they are so versatile in use. Typically consisting of a high clay content, Scalpings are essentially the waste product that is present as a result of other materials like soils being screened. Scalpings also tend to consist of naturally occurring Limestone, for this reason, they can vary quite a lot in colour but tend to be an almost pink clay colour.
When it comes to laying driveways, paths, patios and even Artificial Grass, 40mm Scalpings are one of the most popular materials to use as a sub-base.
Scalpings can come in varying sizes, but we supply Scalpings in the most popular size; a graded 40mm size. The high clay content makes this building material really easy to work with as it is very pliable and great for levelling sub-bases within landscaping areas.
