Sawn Kandla Grey Paving slabs (sawn and honed kandla grey) is a stunning addition to any garden space. In previous garden projects it has been paired with Ocean Pebbles and Polar Ice Chippings as a border. This paving stone also contains a slight sparkle in natural light which really enhances the silver colours within the natural stone. You could install this in a natural, cottage style garden as well as a modern garden. These premium paving slabs are finished with smooth, regimented edges which have been achieved by machine cutting and precise calibration. In contrast to traditional Sandstone Paving and Limestone Paving, this will mean that the lines within your garden patio will be completely straight and perfectly line up. The stone then goes through a polishing process, called 'honing' for an extra smooth finish, which gives off a very shiny effect when the paving is wet. Again, this is different to the finish of hand-cut Natural Stone Paving that will come complete with a more natural, riven finish. Charlie Says: We recommend laying our sawn paving slabs on a full mortar bed and slurrying the back of the stone as you would with porcelain paving. The Shadow Paving Slabs will need sealing as soon as it's laid to ensure the colour is looking it's best. Once you have sealed your paving with Azpects Easy Seal, you can be confident that the stunning colour of your paving will be maintained. It's good practise to clean your paving every six months with a hose or jet washer to keep your garden patio clear of any debris and dirt. Sandstone and Porcelain Paving are paving stones of very different qualities. With Sandstone Paving being naturally formed, you will get more colour variations and a natural, riven finish. This is ideal for those who are wanting a traditional, natural garden patio. Porcelain Paving, however, will rarely vary in colour due to the slabs being manufactured in specific colours. If you prefer a modern look, Porcelain Paving would be the more appropriate option. There are also many more colour and pattern choices. As Sandstone, and Limestone, is a naturally-formed stone, it will be more brittle to handle than Porcelain Paving. With Porcelain Paving being made in a factory and fired in kilns up to 1400C, this ensures a very strong and durable exterior paving tile. Please be aware that over time Sandstone Paving will fade naturally as the weather will cause changes to the surface texture and colour. If you prefer something that retains its colour and texture, Porcelain Paving should be the one you choose. Porcelain is able to retain its colour much better due to it being manmade.
