One suggestion we would make in regards to the Play Chips is that, if you decide to have them in your garden, you should dig out the area where you want the chips to go, to a depth of 50mm and for extra security add in Scalpings to create a base layer. This will enable you to have a secure and stable base to work with rather than just plain clay ground.

A weed Membrane is also essential when creating a pathway. The worst thing that can happen on your shiny new pathway would be for weeds to start sprouting out. Therefore to counteract their spread, we suggest you purchase some Weed Membrane which will give your garden a clean, professional look.

The Story of Our Eco-Friendly Play Chip BS Certified

The development of our Play Chips did not add to deforestation as they were not chipped from virgin wood. We are able to confirm that all our Play Chips derive from trees that have already been cut down for other purposes by tree surgeons. 

Any remaining pieces from trees that have been cut down from gardens and public areas are then transported to a site where they are cut into shape using a wood chipper, after which they are mulched down, and then finally are brought to our Stone Zone warehouse ready to be sold.

As a result of going through this development process, we can guarantee that trees are not destroyed for the sole purpose of creating Play Chips. In fact, it is upcycling used parts and ensuring that the trees cut down are not going to waste.

Moreover, all our Play Chips are acquired locally in and around Dorset, which ensures that we are keeping our carbon footprint at a minimum as the transport time and distance are low.
