Our Ice Blue Pebbles are a new addition to the Stone Zone's ever-expanding range of Decorative Garden Stones. Available in a popular grey colour, these grey/blue decorative stones contain a beautiful, natural sparkle when placed in the sun, due to the natural properties of marble. 

These large, rounded stones are made from high-quality, washed marble stone, so are classed as very durable and luxurious decorative stones. These marble stones measure anywhere between 40mm and 60mm, so are best to be used within a decorative feature.

Blue Pebbles for Your Garden

These Ice Blue Pebbles are commonly used as a decorative feature, and really create the wow factor within any front garden or back garden. They look great when paired near plants and act as a nice divide between your garden and your fencing around the garden.

They also look really impressive when placed within a Water Feature, the grey stones transform into a deeper blue/grey colour when wet and shimmer nicely in the sun. These cannot be used in ponds, however, as they aren't fish friendly.

How to Create a Rockery Water Feature

Experts suggest that having some form of still or running water in your garden can be beneficial to your mental health and really boost your mood. It also has the added benefit of providing insects and birds with some fresh water in the summer for them to drink or wash in. 

If you're into upcycling projects, why not set yourself the challenge of creating your very own garden water feature? We've compiled some different ideas below for creating your own self-contained ponds or DIY water features!

Create a simple pond; if you have an old, plastic laundry basket or even a large, ceramic pot, you could add water to it and create your own, contained pond. You might want to line the laundry basket with a tight, geo fabric to ensure the water remains contained. You will also need to replace the water every so often. 

Add large rocks and pebbles to your pond to create your own rockery, paired with smaller chippings like Polar Ice Chippings, this will transform any pond into a natural paradise that might attract all kinds of wildlife. There's a huge range of plants you can buy that will either grow underwater or sit on top of your pond that will really take it to the next level! 

Create a water feature with running water; for a professional-looking water feature that has calming, running water, use a solar-powered pump within your pond. You can buy them at different intensities so you can opt for simple and quiet or the more powerful surge of water. 

If you really want to make a focal point of your water feature, think about adding a solar-powered fountain to your water feature or pond! It could be as simple as upcycling an old trough or metal bath and incorporating a fountain, with some decorative stones around the edges. 

Water for the Wildlife; maybe you just want a simple, contained pot of water filled with beautiful Chippings, Pebbles or Rocks that the birds can take a bath in or use to get a drink in the Summer. Simply upcycle an old, metal or plastic planter or even a large garden or kitchen pot for a small, yet effective bird bath where you can enjoy watching small birds washing themselves or taking a drink in the Summer.

On occasion, your garden stones may be very dusty; we recommend hosing your new stones down to wash them and reveal their true colour.
