Applying EASY Joint Select is straightforward—just sweep the compound into the joints and compact it using water. While the process is simple, we still recommend hiring a professional to lay your paving and complete the jointing to achieve the best results.

EASY Joint Select offers excellent long-term performance. It won’t crack, wash out, or deteriorate, and it is fully weatherproof. It also helps discourage weed growth and is water-permeable, allowing water to drain through and reducing the risk of surface water build-up.

For Joints 3mm or Wider:
For effective results, joints must be at least 3mm wide. Always check your paving layout to ensure the spacing is suitable before purchasing the product.

Not Suitable for Driveways:
Finally, please remember that EASY Joint Select is not designed for driveways and should only be used on pedestrian areas.

Application Methods

There are 2 ways in which you can apply jointing to your paving.

Method 1: Wet Application Method

To begin, spread roughly half the contents of the tub over the area you intend to joint. Using a soft brush or squeegee, work the compound into the joints, ensuring every gap is fully filled.

Set your hose to a gentle spray and wash the compound into the joints. This helps the material settle and compact properly, ensuring complete coverage.

Repeat this process across the entire paving area, then give the surface one final rinse and allow it to dry fully. If you’d like a cleaner, more refined finish, you can optionally use a jointing iron or trowel to ‘point’ the joints—this isn’t essential, but it does create a more polished appearance.

Once applied, the product can be left to cure on its own. The only time you may need to revisit the area is if heavy rainfall occurs immediately after installation. Otherwise, no further action is required.

 Method 2: Dry Application Method (For use when applying in temperatures at or below freezing)

DO NOT wet the surface before applying the jointing. In freezing temperatures, any water present can turn to ice, preventing the jointing material from setting correctly.

To prevent staining, it’s essential to seal the paving beforehand. Sealing strengthens both the paving edges and the surface, helping to maintain durability and appearance.

Unlike the Wet Application Method—where compaction is optional—the Dry Application Method requires proper compaction. You must use a jointing iron to firmly compact the material into the joints after spreading it over the area. This ensures the product bonds securely and the joints are properly filled.

Once applied, simply allow the jointing to cure naturally. The only situation in which you may need to reapply product is if heavy rainfall occurs immediately after installation.
