Azpects is a renowned, nationally-recognised brand that manufacture Jointing and Grouting solutions for all forms of garden paving, as well as Paving Maintenance products. 

Their EasyJoint Select range is a largely popular jointing compound, that can be used for all garden paving, including Natural Stone Paving, Porcelain Paving, Slate Paving, Granite Paving, Concrete Paving and more.

This versatile jointing compound is easy to use and simply requires adding water to the tub. It is suitable for joints that are 3mm and over, and creates a permanent joint that is both weed-resistant and water permeable.   

New to their range is the Platinum colour. This is a beautifully modern light grey grout that mimics a champagne colour. It would match perfectly with a variety of paving stones including grey paving slabs, beige paving slabs and white paving slabs. 

Other colours available in this range of EasyJoint Select Jointing Compound are Jet Black, Carbon, Tungsten and Bronze.

3mm or Wider Joints:
Please be aware that the paving joints must be a minimum of 3mm wide and 20mm deep for this to work properly.

Driveways:
Also please remember that the EASY Joint Select is not suitable for driveways.

How to use Azpects EasyJoint Select

There are 2 ways in which you can apply jointing to your paving, and we would recommend you work with someone else to complete this.

Method 1: Wet Application Method (recommended)

• This method involves emptying half the contents of the bag over the area that needs jointing. Using a soft brush or a squeegee, sweep the jointing compound into the joints generously, ensuring that all gaps are filled properly.
• Secure the compound into the joints with water using your hosepipe in a gentle spray setting – this ensures the grout is compact into the jointing, further ensuring that all the gaps are filled.
• Once you've completed this across the entire area, spray it a final time and then leave it to allow the paving to dry out. To smoothen it out you can use a jointing iron or trowel to ‘point’ the jointing.
• Check this area after a few hours to see if there are any bits that have been missed and need topping up, and then leave it to completely dry out and 'cure'.

 Method 2: Dry Application Method (For use when applying in temperatures at or below freezing)

• DO NOT WET THE SURFACE. The freezing temperatures may cause ice to form that may prevent the jointing from settling.
• To prevent marking, the paving should be sealed, preferably before installation. This will ensure that both the edges and the paving are protected.
• Sprinkle half the bag of jointing material over the desired area and use a soft brush to push the product into the joints – you must compact the material using a pointing iron to make sure the gaps are filled properly.

You only need to revisit the area for any re-doing if there has been extremely heavy rain straight after application, otherwise, you can safely let it cure on its own.
